Sausage breakfast hash

serve it with toast and coffee and this  makes a fun breakfast combo that tastes better than the diner!


Prep/ Total time: 30 min Serves:4

  • 3 Tbs. butter, divided
  • 1 pkg. (20 oz.) refrigerated diced potatoes with onion
  •  1 pkg. (7 oz.) brown-and-serve sausage links, sliced
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small sweet red pepper. chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • hot pepper sauce, optional







  1. Melt 1 Tbs. butter in a large skillet over med. heat; stir in potatoes, sausage, green and red peppers, salt and cayenne. Cover and cook for 12-14 min. or until potatoes and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese.
  2. Frey eggs in remaining butter in a large skillet. Sprinkle with pepper. Serve with hash and pepper sauce if desired.
