Let's talk about sauce!

DIY CONDIMENTS!

Honey Mustard Salad Dressing

Prep/ Total time: 10 min
Makes: 1 c.

Combine 3 Tbs. honey and 2 Tbs. Dijon mustard in a small bowl. Add 1/4 c. cider vinegar; whisk until blended. Gradually whisk in 1/2 c. canola oil.


 
 
 
 
 

Tangy Barbeque Sauce
 
 
Prep/ Total time: 5 min.
Makes: 1 1/3 c.
 
 
Whisk 1 c. ketchup, 2/3 c. packaged brown sugar, 2 tsp. prepared mustard and 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg in a bowl, Use as a basting sauce for grilled meat.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Classic Tarter Sauce
 
 
Prep/ total time: 10 min.
Makes: 1 c.
 
 
Combine 2/3 c. chopped dill pickles, 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 3 Tbs. finely chopped onion and a dash of pepper in a small bowl.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Classic Pesto
 
 
Prep/ Total time: 10 min.
Makes: 1 c.
 
 
 
Place 4 c. loosely packed basil leaves; 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese; 2 garlic cloves, halved; and 1/4 tsp. salt in a food processor. Cover and pulse until chopped. Add 1/2 c. pine nuts, toasted; cover and process until blended. Gradually add 1/2 c. olive oil in a steady stream while processing.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Chili Seafood Sauce
 
 
Prep/ Total time: 5 min
Makes: 1 c.
 
 
 
 
Combine 1/2 c. ketchup, 1/2 c. chili sauce, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, 1 Tbs. prepared horseradish and 1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce in a small bowl.
