Makes: 6 servings
- 1 lb. ground chuck (80% lean)
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1 Tbs. white or apple cider vinegar
- 6 soft hamburger buns
- In large skillet over med. heat, cook ground chuck, green pepper and onion until beef is well browned and vegetables are tender.
- Stir in tomato sauce, sugar and vinegar; heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat to med.-low; simmer, uncovered 1o min. or until mixture is desired thickness. Spoon barbecue onto buns.
